Camille Tusler

PRESIDENT
Camille Tusler is the president and co-founder of The Decker Foundation, where she leads efforts to expand access to education and strengthen families in underserved communities. Inspired by the short but meaningful life of her nephew Decker, Camille established the Foundation to connect donors with trusted partners around the world and create sustainable solutions that help students succeed.

She holds a degree in Linguistics from Brigham Young University and a master’s in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado. As an experienced entrepreneur and business owner, Camille brings a strong background in leadership, project development, and community advocacy. Her work reflects a deep belief that every child, regardless of location or circumstance, deserves the tools and opportunities to reach their full potential.

Camille lives near Salt Lake City, Utah, with her husband and children. Outside of her work, she enjoys baking, traveling, playing games, learning new skills, and building connections that inspire lasting change.

David Paravato

TREASURER
David Paravato serves as treasurer of The Decker Foundation and is the father of Decker Paravato. David is passionate about honoring Decker’s memory by creating a legacy of support for families and children around the world. A credentialed actuary specializing in health care, David brings a disciplined, data-driven approach to managing the Foundation’s resources with transparency and care.

He earned his degree in Actuarial Science from Brigham Young University and has built a respected career helping organizations navigate complex financial and strategic decisions. Known for his ability to create order from chaos, David excels at analyzing data, forecasting outcomes, and coordinating teams to achieve shared goals.

Outside of his professional pursuits, David enjoys tennis, strategy games, and spending time with his family.

Megan Rothey

SECRETARY
Megan joined The Decker Foundation out of gratitude for the educational opportunities she has experienced and a desire to help expand access to learning for others. She believes that when people have the tools to become self-reliant, it opens the door to greater peace and fulfillment.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing from BYU and brings valuable experience in brand strategy, website development, and digital marketing to the Foundation.

Megan lives in Colorado, where she enjoys raising her three young children. Outside of family life, she loves tennis, game nights, tending her flower garden, and teaching a youth Sunday School class.

Maliece Harper, Board Member of the Decker Foundation

Maliece Harper

Board Member
Maliece joined The Decker Foundation after seeing the incredible difference a well-supported education makes for children with learning differences. As a mom with a learning difference herself, she has been a dedicated advocate for two of her three children who face similar challenges. That experience has inspired her passion for ensuring all children have access to equitable, compassionate education.

She brings a personal understanding of how families, educators, and students can work together to find the right support.

Maliece lives in Franklin, Tennessee, and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Associate of Arts in History, a Paralegal Certificate, and a Certificate of Dyslexia Advocacy. Outside of her advocacy work, she enjoys sewing, a creative outlet that brings her joy.

Wilford Wagner

Board Member
Wilford Wagner spent 35 years as an educator dedicated to helping students grow and succeed. Throughout his career, he served in many roles, including teacher, coach, dean of students, assistant principal, and high school principal. He retired from West Leyden High School in Northlake, Illinois, where under his leadership the district was honored as the Small School District of the Year in the United States by the Advanced Placement National Board.

Wilford holds a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University, a Master’s in Spanish Literature from the University of Kentucky, and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.

Now retired in South Barrington, Illinois, Wilford enjoys traveling and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Michelle Paravato

Co-Founder
Michelle Paravato is the co-founder of The Decker Foundation and the mother of Decker Paravato, whose life inspired the organization’s mission. Experiencing the loss of Decker helped Michelle recognize how significant and precious life is. While she cannot provide the life she dreamed of for her son, she is committed to offering the opportunities she hoped to give him to children and families all over the world.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Brigham Young University and is currently completing a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia. Michelle brings experience in startup environments, where she has led efforts in marketing, customer support, sales, and strategy. She believes deeply that everyone shares an obligation to lift others and be a thoughtful steward of what they’ve been given.

She is a proud mom and avid traveler and in her free time, she enjoys reading, event planning, and playing sports like basketball, tennis, swimming, and pickleball.
