PCEA Nanyuki School is Expanding

Four new classrooms will give students more room to learn, grow, and thrive.

The Need for More Space

We loved visiting the PCEA Academy in Nanyuki last June, meeting with Mary, the school director, and spending time with the children, including the fifty-four students we help sponsor.

As we visited the classrooms, however, it was clear that many of the grades were extremely overcrowded, making both classroom management and learning more challenging.

Over 60 students share a single classroom

Planning Together

Working together with school leaders, a plan was created to remodel rooms in the old building into four new classrooms and add bathrooms and space for a future kitchen.

These improvements will ease overcrowding and give students and teachers the space they need to focus on learning.

Classrooms Taking Shape

We are happy to report that construction is moving quickly! Much of the old rooms have been
torn down and rebuilt, windows and doors have been replaced, and artwork has been added to the
walls to create a more engaging learning environment.

Students should be able to move into their new classrooms by the first of the year!
